This work is a visual depiction of Steve Reich's "Table Top" composition which consists of rhythmic tapping on a table with a microphone.
The criterion was to capture the rhythm by using a razor blade. The only conscious choice was color selection for each layer of paint. The textural and rhythmic pattern evolved after many painting sessions.
